7.4 kW home EV chargers, installed properly

OZEV-approved units fitted with load balancing, type-A or type-B RCD protection as the car requires, and tidy cable runs. Paperwork and DNO notification handled for you.

What a good install looks like

A modern 7.4 kW home charger is not just a 32A socket on the wall. It needs a CT clamp on the meter tails so it can step its output down if the oven, shower and kettle are all running. It needs the right RCD for the car model on your drive. And it needs an earthing arrangement that handles TN-C-S supplies properly — which is nearly every house in Kent built in the last 40 years.

Choosing the unit

Tethered is convenient, socketed is more flexible. Solar-follow features are brilliant if you have PV. Rates and tariffs differ enough that picking the right unit saves real money over the life of the car. We walk you through the sensible options rather than pushing one brand.
