Why a one-person business?

You know who is turning up, and Richard knows your home. The quote, the work, the certificate and the follow-up call if anything is not right all go through the same person. There is no estimator who never comes back, no apprentice left alone on the tricky bit, and no rotating crew pulled off to a bigger job mid-week.

It keeps prices honest too, because there is no office to fund. You pay for the time on site and the materials used, and that is it.

What counts as a small job?

If it takes ten minutes in Sandwich or the nearest villages, it is £10. Fit a light fitting, swap a socket face, test a smoke alarm, reset a tripping breaker and talk you through what to watch. Nothing needs to become a full callout when it does not need to.

What about the bigger stuff?

Every larger job gets a written quote up front, fixed for 30 days and invoiced to the penny. Fuse boxes start from around £600 fitted. Full rewires depend heavily on the house, but you get a proper walk-through before numbers come out. EV chargers and solar arrays are booked in once the supply and roof have been checked properly.
